The Little Black Book of Lacrosse Plays

$19.95

This book is a compilation of 50 different lacrosse plays that can be executed out of the 1-4-1, 2-2-2, 1-3-2, 2-3-1 formations along with Extra Man and Clearing plays. This comprehensive guide to offense will provide a wealth of ideas and information for coaches at all levels. Each play is broken down into the following categories; Set-Up, Instructions and Coaching Tips. Each play has two small diagrams on the instructions page and two large diagrams with a brief breakdown of player positioning and roles.

Along with all the plays included in this book there are three more key features. First, there is a "How to Use This Book" section. This section provides coaches with ideas on how to use the plays, how to dissect them for critical components and how to reverse the plays to run them at different locations other than what is diagrammed. Second, the book offers a "Top Ten List" for teaching and developing an offense. This list is a must read for all coaches as it will help refresh your memory or teach you some of the basics that are too often overlooked when a coach develops an offense for their team. Third, this book contains an extensive section on crease play. Crease play is vital to any offense and this section breaks down individual crease play, the two man game, pick and rolls and sealing.
